BELLEVUE, WA – Anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg is continuing what appears to be an attempted “leveraged buyout” of the Second Amendment as Everytown for Gun Safety—the group he co-founded and bankrolled—has pledged to spend $8 million in Texas; just part of the $60 million that group has vowed to spend in order to elect anti-rights politicians this fall. That’s the observation from the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Former New York City Mayor Bloomberg, seeking to buy his way into

BELLEVUE, WA – The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms today announced it is updating its list of businesses and CEOs who push for increased gun control and prohibition, adding Gucci to the roster. According to CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “We were reminded that Gucci donated $500,000 to the anti-gun March for Our Lives group started three years ago, and quickly was co-opted by the gun prohibition lobby.” CCRKBA’s “Don’t Feed the Gun Prohibitionists” project has developed a dynamic list of businesses

BELLEVUE, WA – The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms today threw its support behind a new effort by President Donald Trump’s administration aimed at improving school safety with the launch of a dedicated website to provide information to help local school districts shape their own strategies. The SchoolSafety.gov website is described as a “one stop shop for resources, best practices, federal programs, and grants for school safety.” President Trump met with families of students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School

BELLEVUE, WA – When perennially anti-gun Sen. Dick Durbin declared in a tweet to make gun control a “top priority” now that he chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, it was an unmistakable signal that Capitol Hill Democrats represent a danger to the Second Amendment, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today. Durbin, from Illinois, said in his Twitter message, “Today I had the chance to speak with a group of gun violence prevention advocates from across the country. I

Last week we asked you to send a message to the Senate Law & Justice Committee against SB 5078’s ban on standard size magazines and SB 5038’s restriction on open carry. You stood up & we were part of massive turnout in testimony and written comments on those Senate bills. Our side had more then 3,000 show up against SB5078. Unfortunately they didn’t get the message. Both bills have passed to the Senate floor where they’ll have time for debate and possibly a vote.

BELLEVUE, WA – Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s H.R. 127, a gun control measure requiring gun owner licensing, psychological evaluations, retroactive gun registration and separate licensing for modern sporting rifles is “insanity on steroids,” the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today. “Over the years,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “we’ve seen some astonishingly bad legislation originate on Capitol Hill, but this one takes the term ‘abomination’ to an entirely new level. One look at this bill and you wonder whether

BELLEVUE, WA – Anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety lobbying group will spend at least $60 million to support gun control candidates in 2020, leading the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms to declare “Last year he bought Virginia, now he’s trying to buy the United States.” “Virginia was a test of Bloomberg’s buying power,” CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb observed, “and look how that has worked out. Now his gun prohibition lobbying group is promising to roll out the

BELLEVUE, WA – Wednesday evening’s chaotic mass shooting in downtown Seattle, in which both suspects appear to have long criminal backgrounds, underscores what the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms warned about more than five years ago: Feel-good gun control policies don’t stop violent crime. “In 2014,” recalled CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “we opposed Initiative 594 with its so-called ‘universal background checks’ and warned that it would not prevent bad guys from getting guns. A year later, we warned the City

BELLEVUE, WA – Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam should apologize to the thousands of gun owners who turned out Monday for their annual, and peaceful, Second Amendment rally, and to the thousands more his hysteria kept away, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today. “Following a peaceful gathering of law-abiding gun owners protesting the gun control extremism of Northam and his Democrat colleagues in the General Assembly,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb,” Gov. Northam should beg forgiveness from every Virginia
