CCRKBA DELIGHTED THAT CALIFORNIA RIFLE & PISTOL ASSN. IS AFFILIATE
BELLEVUE, WA – One of the nation’s oldest and most active state gun rights organizations—the California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA), founded in 1875—is among the stalwarts of affiliate groups working with the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
CRPA, with its tens of thousands of members, is a non-profit membership and donor-supported organization, with a diverse cross-section of members who believe strongly in defending their Second Amendment rights.
“We have worked with CRPA over the years on many projects,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “and when it comes to grassroots action in the Golden State, we know from experience that CRPA can be counted on to tackle even the toughest challenges and not shy away. This is a group that gets the job done.”
CRPA has fought legal battles for many years, never flinching in the face of adversity. The organization has the support and participation of California hunters, competition and recreational shooters, firearms instructors, law enforcement, judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, coaches and trainers, students, new shooters, Olympic athletes, singles and families. It is definitely an “all-encompassing” organization.
“This organization makes it crystal clear on its website that the Second Amendment belongs to all citizens,” Gottlieb observed, “and they also proudly note that every dollar received from members and supporters stays and works in California, defending and supporting hunting and Second Amendment rights in every county and in the capitol in Sacramento. It is organizations like CRPA that move the ball forward in the effort to restore and expand Second Amendment rights.
“Whether the issue is gun shows, concealed carry, ammunition purchases or any number of other important subjects,” Gottlieb said, “we can always count on CRPA to be on the battle lines, because their members know that defending Second Amendment rights is a 24/7/365 proposition, and that this not a spectator sport.”
